SAVE THE DATE – Impacting together. Promoting cross fertilisation between Interreg and the Mission Ocean and Waters
This event provides a valuable space for Horizon Europe and Interreg to engage in discussion on water management in the Mediterranean region. It is part of an ongoing dialogue between BlueMissionMed — the governance project implementing the EU Mission ‘Restore Our Ocean & Waters Mediterranean Lighthouse’ — and the Innovative Sustainable Economy Mission, which has now been extended to encompass all Interreg programmes operating within the sustainable blue economy sector across the Mediterranean.
The idea stems from the intention to promote mutual understanding between programmes, identify areas of collaboration and pave the way for enhanced cooperation in the blue economy and the development of future synergistic initiatives.
The cross-fertilisation workshop will be held in person in the context of the BlueMissionMed Lighthouse final event at ECOMONDO 2025 (Rimini, Italy, 04-07/11/25) on Wednesday 05th of November in the morning (exact time will confirmed soon).
This event aims at:
- highlighting the contribution of sustainable water management solutions for the Mediterranean basin, developed by Interreg projects belonging to the cross-border and transnational Programmes active in the area;
- promoting exchanges and networking between Interreg project partners and the Mission Ocean stakeholder community
By attending the BlueMissionMed Lighthouse events participants will have the opportunity to:
- learn about the Mediterranean’s pivotal role within the EU Mission “Restore Our Ocean and Waters by 2030” and the BlueMissionMed legacy, during high-level and thematic event
- connect with key actors of the Mediterranean community working to restore and protect our shared waters
- showcase the solutions developed at the project level through the BlueMissionMed platform and during matchmakings
- participate in all session of the relative Mediterranean Bootcamp for capacity building in Mission implementation

This event is co-organised by BlueMissionMed, the Innovative Sustainable Economy Mission of the Interreg Euro-MED Programme and the Interreg IPA ADRION Programme.
