Date/Time
Date(s) - 18 June 2026
9h00 - 17h30

Location
DAMA Tecnopolo

Join us in Bologna, at DAMA Tecnopolo, on 18 June for a high-level dialogue on the future of the Euro-Mediterranean region. The event is organised within the Innovative Sustainable Economy Mission of the Interreg Euro-MED Programme by the Emilia-Romagna Region (ERR) and the  Conference of Peripheral and Maritime Regions (CPMR) Intermediterranean Commission.

At a crucial moment for European cohesion and investment policies, as the current programming period advances and discussions on the next Multiannual Financial Framework (2028–2034) start to take shape, this event offers a unique opportunity to reflect on the evolving role of Cohesion Policy in addressing major challenges in Mediterranean region(s).

Bringing together representatives from European institutions, national, regional and local authorities, the event will explore the perspectives to strengthen economic resilience, accelerate the green and digital transitions, and promote a more inclusive and balanced development across Mediterranean territories in the 2028-2034 programming period.

Participants will engage in strategic discussions, share perspectives and contribute to shaping a common vision for a smarter, greener and fairer  Mediterranean.

CHECK THE CONCEPT AND STRUCTURE

What to expect

The event aims to:

  • Foster a high-level dialogue on the future of Cohesion Policy in the Mediterranean;
  • Address key challenges such as climate change, geopolitical instability and digital transformation;
  • Bring together diverse perspectives from European, national and regional stakeholders;
  • Collect positions, concerns and proposals to inform future policy directions;
  • Contribute to shaping a shared vision for a smarter, greener and more inclusive Mediterranean.

The event will combine different formats to encourage both strategic reflection and active participation:

  • Conference sessions and panel discussions in the morning, focusing on policy debates and amplifying regional perspectives;
  • An interactive workshop session in the afternoon, designed to gather inputs, ideas and proposals from participants.

This approach will allow participants not only to exchange views, but also to actively contribute to the definition of future priorities.
